Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Dr. Pat Farrow is now running the office since his father retired. Continues to be a friendly and caring office. The office doesn't make you feel rushed. Highly recommend this practice

I have been a patient of Dr. Jim for 39+ years, and there's no one else like him, as any one of his patients would attest. His professionalism and care for his patients will stand unparalleled. I have had several appointments with Dr. Pat. He was efficient and professional, yet gentle, kind, thorough, and very personable. I know undoubtedly, and with the utmost confidence, that I will be in good hands with Dr. Pat. Congrats, Dr. Jim, on your retirement! You will be missed!

Excellent dentist. I have been using him since I started going the dentist and never had any issues with him in those 30+ years. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Great location in town. And if he doesn't feel that he can do an excellent job on a procedure he will find the best oral surgeon in town that takes your insurance. Dr. Farrow always makes sure you are comfortable during your visit and satisfied with the results. He doesn't waste money on ads or having the shiniest new toys. He keeps his prices low, I don't pay anything out of pocket for 6 month cleanings with my insurance.

I’ve had Dr James Farrow as my dentist since I was a child. He’s an amazing, caring and kind practitioner who has mastered his craft. I always trust his opinion and recommendations: he always tries to do the best thing for the patient. His son Pat has also done some work on me and he is my daughter’s dentist. He too is outstanding!! I highly recommend them and the practice!

I have been with Dr Farrow since I was little. Seriously the best dentist ever! He has been so amazing to my family. I live over an hour away and still make the trip. My sister lives over two hours away and still makes the trip to him. He has a great office of people working for him.
